For several applications, there is a need to radiometrically characterize optical devices, especially detectors, to determine or confirm their performances with respect to that provided by the manufacturers. For instance, different types of photodiodes must be characterized with respect to uniformity, linearity, stability of responsivity and temperature at several wavelengths.

At the BRCLab, we count with two facilities that work under the same principle, but one of them, generally used for flight model devices, additionally provides a working environment with ISO-5 cleanliness level.
